Orville Peck, known for his distinctive fringed mask and baritone voice, is set to make his Broadway debut in the musical "Cabaret" at the August Wilson Theatre. He will take on the role of the Emcee, replacing Adam Lambert, who has been performing the part since November 2023. Peck's run in the show will begin on June 17, 2024, and continue through to September 1, 2024. This production of "Cabaret" is directed by Rebecca Frecknall and features a reimagined version of the classic story set in 1929-1930 Berlin, focusing on the lives of characters amidst the rise of the Nazi regime. Peck's involvement is anticipated to bring a unique flair to the role, given his background in country music and his enigmatic stage persona.
