The City of El Paso is promoting local shopping through its WinterFest Market and a new social media initiative called "El Paso Main Street Holiday Shop Small." This initiative encourages residents to support local businesses by shopping at the WinterFest Market, which is set up in San Jacinto Plaza and features over 40 vendors offering a variety of goods like food, art, and holiday gifts. The market operates from November 18 to December 23, 2023, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additionally, the city is leveraging social media to boost visibility for these local vendors, aiming to enhance community engagement and support for small businesses during the holiday season.
