John Cleese, the 85-year-old comedy legend, has decided to leave X (formerly known as Twitter) due to what he describes as a "class of users" on the platform. In a pointed critique, Cleese took a swipe at Elon Musk, the platform's owner, by suggesting that Musk's management has led to an increase in undesirable interactions. Cleese expressed his frustration with the current state of X, highlighting issues like the proliferation of trolls, misinformation, and the overall degradation of the user experience since Musk's acquisition. He announced his departure in a post, stating he would be moving to another platform, Substack, where he believes the environment might be more conducive to constructive and respectful dialogue.
