  • A Texas crisis communications specialist has sued Blake Lively for defamation after the actor pulled him into her legal fight with co-star and director Justin Baldoni over their film, "It Ends With Us.

Blake Lively, along with her lifestyle brand Preserve and its parent company, is being sued by a Texas-based crisis management specialist, Lisa Scolari, for breach of contract. Scolari alleges that she was hired in 2014 to provide crisis management services for Preserve, which was launched by Lively in 2013 but shut down in 2015. According to the lawsuit, Scolari was promised a monthly retainer and a success fee if she managed to keep the company out of negative publicity. Despite her efforts, Preserve closed, and Scolari claims she was never paid the success fee or the full amount of her retainer. The lawsuit seeks damages for the unpaid fees, interest, and legal costs.
