K-Wave Media, a South Korean entertainment company, has announced plans to invest up to $500 million in Bitcoin, aiming to diversify its portfolio and tap into the growing cryptocurrency market. This move follows a similar strategy by Japanese investment firm Metaplanet, which recently increased its Bitcoin holdings to 203.745 BTC, valued at approximately $14.7 million. Metaplanet's decision to bolster its Bitcoin reserves is part of a broader strategy to hedge against inflation and currency devaluation, reflecting a growing trend among companies to include cryptocurrencies in their investment portfolios.
