Izzy Karns crowned 2026 Miss Teen Volunteer America

A few weeks ago, an Ellisville native was crowned Miss Teen Volunteer America, making her the first teen from Mississippi to hold a national title.

Izzy Karns, a 17-year-old from West Virginia, was crowned the 2026 Miss Teen Volunteer America at the pageant held in Jackson, Tennessee. She competed against 35 other contestants, showcasing her platform "Izzy’s Book Drive," which focuses on collecting books for children in need. Izzy, who is also Miss West Virginia’s Teen Volunteer, received a $10,000 scholarship, a crown, and a sash. She expressed her excitement about the win and her commitment to continue her volunteer work, particularly in promoting literacy among children. The pageant not only highlighted her community service but also her talents and dedication to making a positive impact.
