Calvin Booth, the general manager of the Denver Nuggets, considered trading Jamal Murray before the point guard signed a four-year, $209 million extension with the team. According to a report by Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Booth was open to exploring trade options for Murray, but ultimately, no deal materialized, and Murray remained with the Nuggets. The extension, which was signed in July 2024, will keep Murray with the team through the 2028-29 season. Despite the trade rumors, Murray has been a key player for the Nuggets, helping them win the NBA Championship in 2023 and continuing to be a vital part of their roster.
