Grammy organisers dismissed claims of receiving money from foreign governments, confirming the event will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Awards organizers have refuted claims made by Kenyan musician Bien-Aimé Baraza, who suggested that the Kenyan government paid for a performance slot at the 65th Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy, through its representative, clarified that they do not accept payments for performance opportunities at the Grammys, emphasizing that all performances are merit-based. This statement was in response to Bien's claim that the government had spent KSh 150 million to secure a performance for Kenyan artists at the event. The Academy also highlighted that the selection of performers is a collaborative process involving their team, the artists, and their representatives, and no financial transactions are involved in securing these slots.
