Grammys Organisers Deny Receiving Money from Government: "We Don't Take"

The Recording Academy, through its representative, clarified that they do not accept payments for performance opportunities at the Grammys, emphasizing that all performances are merit-based. This statement was in response to Bien's claim that the government had spent KSh 150 million to secure a performance for Kenyan artists at the event. The Academy also highlighted that the selection of performers is a collaborative process involving their team, the artists, and their representatives, and no financial transactions are involved in securing these slots.
