Justin Baldoni, known for his role in "Jane the Virgin," was set to receive the Women's Solidarity Award at the Women's March in Los Angeles but was stripped of the honor due to backlash from the public and activists. Critics argued that giving a man an award meant to celebrate women's solidarity undermined the event's purpose. The decision to award Baldoni was initially made to recognize his advocacy for women's issues, particularly through his work with the Wayfarer Foundation, which supports women's shelters.
