Bryan Freedman, the lawyer for It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni, has addressed claims that the actor is set to file a countersuit against Blake Lively.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, stars of the upcoming film adaptation of "It Ends With Us," are embroiled in a legal dispute with the book's author, Colleen Hoover, and her publisher, Atria Books. The actors' lawyer, Marty Singer, has filed a countersuit alleging that Hoover and Atria Books have engaged in a "calculated and deliberate attempt to defraud" Lively and Baldoni by misrepresenting the book's sales figures to secure a higher budget for the film. The countersuit claims that the defendants inflated the number of copies sold, which influenced the film's budget negotiations. Hoover and Atria Books had previously sued Lively and Baldoni for breach of contract, claiming the actors failed to promote the film adequately. This legal battle adds complexity to the much-anticipated adaptation of Hoover's bestselling novel.
