  • Hyderabad: A fun-filled outing in quest of social media content by a group of seven youngsters from the city turned fatal, as five of them drowned in Kondapochamma Sagar reservoir in Siddipet district on Saturday.

Five young men from Hyderabad drowned in Kondapochamma Sagar while attempting to create social media reels. The incident occurred when one of the youths ventured into deep water, and his friends tried to rescue him, leading to all of them drowning. The victims, aged between 18 and 22, were part of a group of friends who had gone to the lake for a picnic. Local residents alerted the police, who, with the help of swimmers, recovered the bodies. The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
