  • A nurse is fighting for her life after being stabbed inside the A&E ward of a Greater Manchester hospital. The incident happened at Royal Oldham Hospital at around 11.30am last night. A nurse is currently fighting for her life after being stabbed in the A&E department of Central Middlesex Hospital in London. The incident occurred around 1pm on Wednesday, leading to a lockdown of the hospital. The Metropolitan Police arrested a man in his 30s at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. The nurse, who has not been named, was rushed to another hospital for emergency treatment. The police have stated that the attack does not appear to be related to terrorism, and they are not seeking any additional suspects. The hospital has since returned to normal operations, but the community and colleagues are deeply shaken by the event.
