Doug Emhoff, the former second gentleman, has taken on a new role as co-director of the entertainment practice at the law firm Venable LLP, based in Los Angeles. He will split his time between Los Angeles and New York, focusing on advising clients in the entertainment industry on various legal matters including business transactions, litigation, and intellectual property. Emhoff, who is also the first second gentleman in U.S. history, will leverage his extensive network and experience from his time in the White House to benefit his new position. His wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, will continue her duties in Washington, D.C., while Emhoff transitions into this new chapter of his career.
