Nigel McCrery, the creator of the long-running BBC crime drama "Silent Witness," has passed away at the age of 59. McCrery, who was also a former police officer, developed the series which first aired in 1996 and has since become one of the UK's most enduring television shows, featuring forensic pathology and crime-solving. His work extended beyond "Silent Witness" as he wrote numerous other TV shows and books, drawing from his extensive experience in law enforcement. His death marks a significant loss to the world of British television and crime writing.
