Vic Mensa Says He Once Had to Pay the Italian Mob $10K After Club Fight

Vic Mensa, a Chicago rapper, shared a story on the "Rap Radar" podcast about an incident in Italy where he had to pay the Italian mob $10,000 following a fight at a club. The trouble began when Mensa and his friends were denied entry to a club, leading to a confrontation with security. After the fight, they were detained by the police, but instead of going through the legal system, they were taken to a back room where they were told they could pay to avoid charges. Mensa, who had just received a large sum of money from a performance, paid the demanded amount to resolve the situation. He later reflected on the incident, noting the pervasive influence of the mob in Italy and how such encounters are not uncommon there.
