The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore has launched a new scheme to bolster the media production sector by offering over 70 apprenticeship positions. This initiative, part of the Media Talent Progression Programme, aims to provide hands-on training and career development opportunities for individuals interested in media production. The apprenticeships cover various roles including production assistants, video editors, and sound engineers, among others. The program not only seeks to address the talent shortage in the industry but also to ensure that Singapore's media sector remains competitive by nurturing skilled professionals. Companies participating in this scheme will receive funding support to train these apprentices, with the goal of integrating them into full-time roles post-training.
