  • Cast members will be recruited via BBC Creator Lab through a separate application process. The BBC will have final decision on casting, in consultation with the successful producer. The deadline line for applications is 8 December 2024. Expressions of interest will be accepted from 18 November until 8 December 2024.

The BBC's CreatorLab initiative for 2024 is aimed at discovering and nurturing new talent in the UK, focusing on individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. This year's brief invites creators to produce a short-form video content piece that reflects their unique voice and perspective, with a particular emphasis on comedy, factual entertainment, or entertainment formats. The project is open to those who have not previously produced content for major broadcasters or streaming services, offering them a chance to gain industry experience, mentorship, and potentially secure a commission for a full series. Participants are encouraged to submit ideas that are original, engaging, and capable of resonating with a broad audience, with the application process requiring a detailed pitch, a showreel, and personal details. The deadline for submissions is set for 11:59 PM on March 17, 2024.
