Hey, Scammers! Stop Posing As SPIN Editors. No One Is Buying It (Literally)
- It's recently come to my attention that someone has been posing as me online offering to pay music professionals and other people to write for SPIN. They even shamelessly stole my profile photo of me with my wife and children.
The article from AOL Entertainment discusses the issue of scammers impersonating Pat Sajak, the host of "Wheel of Fortune," to deceive fans. These scammers use fake social media accounts to trick people into believing they can win prizes or need to pay fees to claim supposed winnings. The article highlights the frustration of fans and the show's official response, urging people to be cautious and only trust verified accounts. It also mentions that "Wheel of Fortune" has taken steps to report these fraudulent activities to social media platforms, emphasizing that the show would never ask for money or personal information through social media. The piece serves as a warning to fans to protect themselves from such scams.
