Actor Adam Pearson has given five words of advice to anyone facing abuse online after he was trolled over his disability at the Baftas. The Croydon-born actor who starred in A Different Man last year said social media had opened the floodgates for people to receive 'abhorrent abuse' and had a powerful message for anyone who hides behind a screen.

Adam Pearson, an actor known for his role in "Under the Skin," has spoken out against the online bullying he experienced following his appearance at the BAFTA Film Awards. After presenting an award, Pearson, who has neurofibromatosis, faced a barrage of cruel comments about his appearance on social media. He described the trolling as "abhorrent" and highlighted the stark contrast between the supportive environment at the BAFTAs and the hateful messages online. Pearson used this opportunity to advocate for greater awareness and education about disabilities, urging people to challenge their prejudices and to foster a more inclusive society. He emphasized the need for societal change to address and reduce such discriminatory behavior.
