  • By Dawn Chmielewski, Mike Scarcella (Reuters) -Streaming service FuboTV said on Monday it has agreed to end litigation against the three major media companies behind the live sports app Venu Sports after Walt Disney Co announced it would merge its Hulu + Live TV business with Fubo.

Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery have decided to abandon their appeal against a federal judge's decision regarding their sports streaming service, Venu Sports. This decision comes after they reached a settlement with FuboTV, a rival streaming platform. The companies had initially appealed a ruling that allowed FuboTV to continue offering a sports-centric package without restrictions from the larger media conglomerates. The settlement terms were not disclosed, but it effectively ends the legal dispute, allowing all parties to move forward with their respective business strategies in the competitive streaming market.
