Walt Disney has named Tony Chambers president of Disney in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as part of a restructuring of its entertainment businesses in the region, the company said Tuesday.

Disney has appointed Jan Koeppen as the new president of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective immediately. Koeppen, who has been with Disney for 24 years, previously served as the general manager for The Walt Disney Company in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. His promotion comes as part of Disney's strategy to enhance its direct-to-consumer business and strengthen its position in the EMEA market. Under his leadership, Disney aims to continue expanding its streaming services, theatrical releases, and theme park experiences in the region. This move is seen as part of Disney's broader efforts to adapt to the evolving media landscape and consumer preferences.
