He highlighted the lack of communication from the authorities regarding the ban, stating, "Tumefungiwa TikTok bila taarifa," which translates to "We've been locked out of TikTok without notice." Baba Jimmy, known for his comedic skits and engaging content, emphasized the suddenness of the ban and its detrimental effect on his ability to earn a living, urging the government to reconsider their decision or at least provide a clear explanation for the abrupt action.
