Cynthia Nixon Responds to 'And Just Like That' 'Palestinian' Shirt Backlash

Cynthia Nixon, known for her role in "Sex and the City," faced backlash after wearing a T-shirt with the slogan "JUSTICE IS INDISPENSABLE" during a protest in New York City, which was part of a demonstration calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict. The shirt, designed by artist Shepard Fairey, sparked controversy due to its perceived political message, with some critics accusing Nixon of promoting anti-Semitism and others defending her right to free speech. The demonstration was one of many held across the U.S. in response to the ongoing violence in Gaza, where over 10,000 people have been killed since the conflict escalated in October 2023. Nixon, who has been vocal about her support for Palestinian rights, used the platform to call for an end to the violence and to urge U.S. leaders to take action towards a ceasefire.
