Big budget entertainment is not on the watchlist of Gen Zers, according to a new Deloitte study. The Hollywood Reporter cites the study in revealing findings from Deloitte's 19th annual digital media trends survey.

A recent survey conducted by Tubi and The Harris Poll reveals that Generation Z prefers content from creators on platforms like YouTube and TikTok over traditional big-budget entertainment. The survey, which included 2,500 U.S. adults, found that 62% of Gen Z respondents prefer creator content, compared to 38% who favor professionally produced entertainment. This preference is driven by the authenticity and relatability of creator content, with 67% of Gen Zers feeling that such content is more authentic and 64% finding it more relatable. Additionally, the survey highlighted that 74% of Gen Z respondents believe that creator content is more inclusive and diverse than traditional entertainment. This shift in preference is influencing the entertainment industry, prompting companies to adapt their strategies to engage with this demographic more effectively.
