Ankita Lokhande, Tejasswi Prakash and Adrija Roy are among the celebrities who have been duped in Rs 1.48 crore scam by an Indore based energy drink company.
The article from Moneycontrol reports that Mumbai Police have filed a case against five individuals accused of defrauding 25 television personalities, including Ankita Lokhande and Tejasswi Prakash, in a scam involving an energy drink brand. The scam, which took place between 2022 and 2023, saw the accused promising the celebrities a share in the company's profits in exchange for their endorsement and investment. The total amount swindled is estimated at Rs 1.48 crore. The accused, who are currently absconding, allegedly used the celebrities' investments to fund their lavish lifestyles. The case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including cheating and criminal breach of trust.
