Lowe described the other dog as a "bigger, stronger dog" that was off-leash, and despite his efforts to intervene, the situation escalated quickly. He expressed gratitude towards the veterinary team at the Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield for their swift action in saving Gus's life. Lowe also used the incident to caution other pet owners about the dangers of off-leash dogs, emphasizing the need for responsible pet ownership to prevent such traumatic events.
