  • A federal judge in Utah has sentenced Louisiana rap artist NBA Youngboy to just under two years in prison on gun-related charges after he acknowledged having possessed weapons despite having a felony conviction.

NBA YoungBoy, a Louisiana rapper, has been sentenced to nearly two years in jail for gun-related charges. The 24-year-old artist, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after authorities found firearms in his possession, which violated his pre-existing probation terms. This legal trouble stems from previous incidents involving weapons and his ongoing legal battles. Despite his rising fame and a string of successful music releases, Gaulden's legal issues have continued to mount, affecting his career and personal life. His attorney has stated intentions to appeal the sentence, arguing that the conditions of his probation were excessively restrictive given his profession and lifestyle.
