The BBC has announced that BBC Radio 2 will feature a special Piano Room Month in March 2025, where artists will perform live with the BBC Concert Orchestra, showcasing both new and classic hits. This initiative follows the success of previous Piano Room sessions. Additionally, Radio 2 is set to revamp its weekday schedule starting in January 2025. Key changes include Gary Davies taking over the mid-morning slot from 9:30am to 12pm, followed by a new show hosted by DJ Spoony from 12pm to 2pm. The afternoon will see a new show with Jo Whiley from 2pm to 4pm, and Sara Cox will host the drive time from 4pm to 7pm. The evening lineup will feature Vernon Kay from 7pm to 9pm, followed by a new show with Romesh Ranganathan from 9pm to 11pm, and Jo Whiley will also host a late-night show from 11pm to 1am. These changes aim to refresh the station's offerings while maintaining its commitment to music and entertainment.
