Cop Shakur Arrested, Claims He's Being Taken to DCI Headquarters

  • Vocal police officer Jackson Kuria Kihara (@Shakurthecop) arrested after criticising the government, sparking massive online support from Kenyans on X.

Shakur, a police officer, was arrested after he claimed to be at the DCI headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, when he was actually not there. He had been on the run for several months, accused of various crimes including robbery with violence. Shakur had previously been dismissed from the police service but continued to impersonate an officer. His arrest came after he made a social media post suggesting he was at the DCI headquarters, which led to his location being traced to a different part of the city. The police, upon realizing his deception, arrested him, and he is now set to face charges related to impersonation and his previous criminal activities.
