  • Netflix is raising the monthly prices of its subscription plans again. Subscribers in the US, Canada, Argentina and Portugal will pay more to stream with or without ads, the media giant shared during its fourth-quarter earnings call on Tuesday.

Netflix has announced an increase in its subscription prices across various plans in the U.S., U.K., and France. In the U.S., the Premium plan, which offers 4K streaming and allows downloads on six devices, will now cost $22.99 per month, up from $19.99. The Basic plan, available only to existing subscribers, has increased from $9.99 to $11.99, while the Standard plan, which supports two simultaneous streams, has gone up from $15.49 to $15.99. In the U.K., the Premium plan will rise to £17.99 from £15.99, and in France, it will increase to €19.99 from €17.99. These price hikes are part of Netflix's strategy to continue investing in new content and enhancing service quality, amidst a competitive streaming market. The changes will take effect immediately for new subscribers, with existing members seeing the increase over the next few months.
