The Duchess of York has said new online safety rules will not clean up the "sewer" of social media.

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has joined forces with the U.K.'s National Crime Agency to promote online safety, particularly for children, by sharing a set of safety rules on social media. These rules, part of the NCA's "Be Cyber Streetwise" campaign, include advice such as using strong and different passwords for various accounts, being cautious with emails from unknown sources, and ensuring software is up to date. Ferguson, who has been vocal about online safety since her email was hacked in 2010, emphasized the importance of these guidelines in protecting personal information and preventing cybercrime, especially as more people rely on the internet for daily activities.
