Navy plane crashes in South Korea, media reports say

A U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter jet crashed into the sea off the coast of South Korea on October 31, 2023, prompting a search and rescue operation for the pilot who ejected safely. The incident occurred during a routine training mission, and the pilot was reported to be conscious and in stable condition after being rescued. The crash site was near the port city of Mokpo, and the cause of the crash is under investigation. No civilian injuries or damages were reported, and the U.S. Navy expressed gratitude to the South Korean rescue teams for their swift response.
