An inmate named Jonathan Johnston, who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center in New Orleans on April 1, 2023, was recaptured after taunting authorities on social media. Johnston, who was being held on charges including domestic abuse battery and theft, escaped by impersonating another inmate during a release. After his escape, he posted on social media, mocking the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office and even sharing a photo of himself in front of the facility.
