  • The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), the regulatory authority for telecommunications, broadcasting, and infrastructure services in Uganda, has vowed to deport and extradite

The Ugandan government has announced plans to deport foreign artists who engage in vulgar behavior during performances, as stated by the Minister for Presidency, Milly Babalanda. This decision comes in response to recent incidents where foreign artists, including Jamaican singer Demarco, performed in ways deemed inappropriate by local standards. Babalanda emphasized that the government will not tolerate such acts and will enforce strict measures to ensure artists respect Ugandan cultural norms. She also mentioned that the government aims to protect the moral fabric of society and will work with event organizers to vet artists before granting them performance permits. This move is part of a broader effort to regulate the entertainment industry and maintain cultural integrity.
