The lawsuit claims that the Hostins misrepresented the home as a primary residence when it was actually a vacation property, leading to a significant underpayment of premiums. In response, the Hostins have countersued, alleging that the broker engaged in fraudulent practices by not disclosing the full terms of the insurance policy and by misrepresenting the coverage. They are seeking damages for emotional distress, legal fees, and other related costs, asserting that they were misled and that the accusations against them are baseless.
