  • Detroit woman Jordan Love was charged with allegedly stabbing her dog and then posting a video of the injured dog on social media, according to a Wayne County Prosecutor's Office news release. She allegedly abandoned the abused dog, two other dogs and four cats.

A Michigan woman, Brittany Ann Rouleau, was arrested and charged with felony animal abuse after allegedly stabbing her dog, a 2-year-old pit bull named Kong, multiple times with a kitchen knife. The incident occurred on June 25, and Kong was found with stab wounds to his head, neck, and chest. The dog was rushed to a veterinary hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is expected to survive. Rouleau claimed she stabbed the dog in self-defense, stating that Kong had bitten her. However, police found no evidence of bite marks on Rouleau, and neighbors reported hearing the dog crying and the woman yelling at the dog before the stabbing. Rouleau was arraigned on July 1 and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
