Starting Friday evening, June 13, 2025, the Santa Monica Promenade will allow outdoor drinking as part of a new pilot program aimed at revitalizing the area. This initiative, approved by the Santa Monica City Council, permits patrons to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating restaurants and consume them in designated outdoor zones along the Promenade. The program, set to run through October 2025, seeks to enhance the dining and social experience, boost local business, and attract more visitors to the area.
