Sony's investment has grown from 1.93% to 14.09% through the acquisition of 1,999,800 shares, making it the largest shareholder in Kadokawa. This move is part of Sony's strategy to expand its influence in the gaming industry, particularly in the development of high-quality, narrative-driven games. The investment was made through Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sony's gaming division, and aims to foster a stronger partnership with FromSoftware, potentially leading to more exclusive titles for Sony's PlayStation platforms.
