Woman accused of posting school threats on social media enters plea

Rayona Hunt, 23, pleaded no contest to one count of making terroristic threats.
A 22-year-old woman from New York, identified as Angelique Smith, was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats after allegedly posting messages on social media that threatened violence at a high school in Gates, a suburb of Rochester. The threats, which were posted on Instagram, mentioned a potential shooting at the school and were discovered by school officials who then notified the police. Following an investigation, Smith was apprehended and is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail on a $5,000 bail. The incident led to an increased police presence at the school, although officials confirmed there was no immediate danger to students or staff.
